VGMA Rocks KofCity With Xperience Concert

Come Easter Monday, April  18, the organisers of the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) will hold a musical concert dubbed ‘VGMA Xperience Concert’ at the Jubilee Park in Koforidua (KofCity), the Eastern Regional capital.

The event is being organised to give fans and nominees the opportunity to engage ahead of the main awards night scheduled for May 6 and 7.

Thousands of music lovers from all walks of life are expected to attend the event which kicks off at 4pm. A number of Ghanaian music stars have been invited to perform at the event.

According to the organisers, the event, which is free, will be live on TV3. It will also be streamed live on social media platforms including YouTube and Facebook.

According to Charterhouse, organisers of the event, the event would be bigger and spectacular, and is poised to give music fans an experience to truly relish.

The VGMAs happens to be the biggest music event in Ghana. It was instituted 22 years ago, and has grown to become the most respected awards scheme in the country and African at large.

This year’s event has over 28 categories which include Artiste of the Year, Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Hip-Hop Song of the Year, Highlife Song of the Year, Gospel Song of the Year, Gospel Artiste of the Year, Hiplife Song of the Year, Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year, Unsung Artiste of the Year, and a host of others.
