Victoria Michaels Saves Less Privileged Communities With Soccabet Face Masks

Supermodel Victoria Michaels on Tuesday distributed large quantities of Soccabet sponsored face masks to some indigenes of Nsawam and Winneba townships.

This was part of the One million Face masks For Rural Communities project by her Fashion Connect Africa Limited, a social enterprise established to make positive impact in the creative space and across various communities in Ghana.

The project was launched in September 2020 to provide a safe cover for rural folks against the spread of COVID-19.

It is also the model’s initiative to give back to society the best way she can.

So far, over one hundred thousand masks have been distributed to citizens in deprived rural-urban communities across Ghana ahead of the 2020 general elections.

Tuesday’s mass distribution was in partnership with Soccabet Ghana, a giant betting outlet in Ghana.

Victoria, together with the team, visited both Nsawam and Winneba townships where they distributed the masks. They made their first stop at Nsawam, and presented the items to the chief in the area before distribution commenced at the bus terminal.

Thousands of Soccabet branded face masks were distributed to drivers, hawkers, ‘mates’, market women and passengers at Nsawam’s major bus terminal.

The activity ended in Winneba where people in an

underserved community in the area were also given masks to protect themselves.

This initiative is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) contribution by Fashion Connect Africa Ltd in collaboration with Soccabet Ghana. This kind of partnership has continued to act as a major private sector intervention in the fight against the deadly COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana.
