The 2026 edition of the World Corporate Golf Challenge (WCGC) Ghana has officially been launched at the Achimota Golf Club in Accra, setting the stage for another season of elite corporate networking and competitive golf.

The tournament, regarded globally as the largest corporate golf competition, brings together business executives and company representatives to combine sport with business engagement.

This year’s competition will end with the National Final on July 10, 2026, at the Achimota Golf Club, where the winning team will represent Ghana at the World Finals in Beijing, China, in October.

Executive Partner of WCGC Ghana, Catherine A. Fabbi, described the tournament as a unique platform that merges business and golf.

Fabbi explained that the competition is strictly for amateur golfers who are members of the Ghana Golf Association (GGA) and represent registered companies.

According to her, the organisers are counting on media partnerships and golf clubs across the country to promote the event ahead of the qualifiers and national finals.

She also highlighted the value for sponsors, noting that participating companies will enjoy both local and international visibility

“Imagine your brand on the global stage in Beijing. Depending on sponsorship, company logos could appear on the shirts worn by the winners,” she stated.

In addition to the trip to China for the winning pair, prizes will also be awarded to teams finishing from first to fifth position, while special awards such as Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive will also feature.

Fabbi further stressed the importance of golf in the corporate world, describing the sport as a strong avenue for networking and business growth.

“Deals are signed on the golf course. After 18 holes with someone, you truly get to know them,” she added.

Several companies have already partnered the event, including Boab Engineering Services Limited, Landers Oil and Gas Ltd, LEVOTUDE Advisory, Black Star Group, Office Bureau, Micasso Tiles and others, while Metro TV will serve as the headline media partner.
