Wendy Shay, Amaarae, Moliy
Ghanaian female artists Wendy Shay, Moliy, and Amaarae have earned nominations at the prestigious All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).
The trio will compete in the Best Female Artist in Western Africa category, unveiled on Wednesday. They face stiff competition from regional heavyweights, including Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage and Avra Starr, as well as Senegalese stars Viviane Chidid and Max Gussé.
Amaarae secured her spot with the acclaimed track “S.M.O”. Wendy Shay was recognised for her chart-topping single “Too Late”, while Moliy received a nomination for “Shake It To The Max”, a collaboration with Shenseea, Skillibena, and Silent Addy.
AFRIMA, which was established to celebrate excellence in African music, unites artists from across the continent annually. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place later this year
