Ghanaian musician, Wendy Shay, has expressed confidence ahead of the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, stating that she believes she deserves to win the coveted Artiste of the Year award.
In a post shared on X, the singer said she is convinced that many people already see her as the likely winner because of the work she has put in over the past year.
“I know everyone is aware that this year’s TGMA Artiste of the Year is me. Thanks to Ghana, SHAYGANG, media personalities, and all the artistes showing me love and advocating for me to win,” she wrote.
Wendy Shay also appealed to supporters of other top Ghanaian musicians to vote for her in the competition. She specifically mentioned fan bases linked to artistes such as Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, and Black Sherif.
“I urge fans of SM, Bhim Nation, Sark Nation, BYK, the Blacko Tribe, and every other fanbase to vote massively for me,” she added.
The 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards ceremony is expected to take place on May 9, 2026.
Wendy Shay is competing in the Artiste of the Year category alongside Stonebwoy, Black Sherif and Sarkodie. Each of these artists is pushing to be crowned winner at this year’s event.
