Windafrique Band performing live on stage
The reputation of Windafrique Band, one of Ghana’s fastest-growing music bands in the metropolis, has soared higher after a thrilling performance at the recently held Homowo festival jam.
The members of the band gave music fans a feel of good Ghanaian highlife music with their rendition of good old tunes and highlife songs.
Their stagecraft was mesmerizing as it got even the most reserved of individuals among the audience up on their feet in sheer excitement.
Following their outstanding stage performance at the event, the band was praised by music fans for its good stage presence and choreography.
“Whenever the band mounts the stage to perform, it gives a thrilling choreography in a phenomenal style and always performs to the satisfaction of its fans,” a member of the band’s management team told BEATWAVES in a chat at a virtual concert at Osu.
According to him, members of the band possess experience and have performed on a number of local and international events, adding that they have equally performed and shared various stages with internationally acclaimed musicians throughout the world.
“The band plays all kinds of music both local and foreign, be it gospel, reggae, hiplife, hip-pop and any music you can think of only if it is fit for music fans to hear,” he told BEATWAVES.
He continued that the Windafrique Band does not only perform at corporate events but also at weddings, funerals, national assignment, social events, state gatherings, among others.
The band has performed on a number of platforms and is working tirelessly to bring back live band music in Ghana.
