Nigerian musicians, Wizkid and Burna Boy, have made history as they won big at the GRAMMY Awards.
Burna Boy won his first ever Grammy for his ‘Twice As Tall’ album which was released in 2020.
He won the award for the Best Global Music album, the same category he lost to Angelique Kidjo in 2020.
Afrobeats star singer, Wizkid, won his very first Grammy award after he got nominated alongside Beyoncé for their ‘Brown Skin Girl’. The video for ‘Brown Skin Girl’ emerged winner of the Best Video category at the 63rd Grammys.
‘Brown Skin Girl’ is a single off Beyonce’s ‘Lion King: The Gift’ album which also features Saint Jhn and her daughter Blue Ivy.
Beyoncé herself made history as she became the most awarded female musician in history.
The 63rd GRAMMY Awards was held on Sunday, March 14, 2021, in Los Angeles, USA.
