A 21-year-old woman is currently battling for her life after being allegedly kidnapped by unknown persons at Bepong in the Kwahu South District of the Eastern Region last week Friday.
The young lady (name withheld) was allegedly kidnapped when she was reportedly sent to buy food from the nearby lorry park at about 9:00 pm.
The apprentice seamstress, according to her boss, Kwame Preprah, met two young men who decided to chat with her, although she was not interested in such an engagement. However, the youngsters reportedly managed to capture her attention.
Mr. Kwame Preprah said while they began to chat, the young lady might have been hypnotized as she later found herself in a car driven at top speed by  one of the two gangsters towards the paragliding site at Atibie in the same district.
“Without fear, she allegedly opened the door and jumped out of the car, sustaining severe injuries all over her body,” Mr. Preprah told Agoo Fm, an Nkawkaw-based radio station.
She then met a Good Samaritan who carried her to the hospital and is currently receiving treatment.
The Mpraeso police commander, ASP Francis Oppong, corroborated the incident and claimed that his outfit was investigating it.
Meanwhile, the chief of Atibie, Nana Berimah Kwame Asante Betiani II, has tasked the police to ensure that justice prevails.
