The organisers of the maiden edition of an event dubbed ‘Women In Ghana Music Festival’, have revealed that the event is being organised to honour and celebrate women in the creative arts industry.

A healthy dose of family fun, great music, delicious food, and a wide range of activities will be provided during the festival, which will bring together women in the music industry and families from all corners of the city.

The event, which will take place in Accra by the end of the year, will also give women a place to network and socialise while with their family and loved ones.

The Aim Ghana Foundation is organising the festival to honour those making an impact and showcasing Ghana to the rest of the globe as well as to promote women in music.

The organisers claimed that women had significantly contributed to the nation’s growth, but that their contributions had received little or no acknowledgement.

They stated that several cultural organisations, as well as some female acts, would perform at the festival, which will take place in Accra.

All of the female acts scheduled to appear at the event will provide live musical performances for event attendees, and it will be aired live on social media.

However, the organisers made an appeal to the public, as well as to organisations to support the annual event.

According to information obtained by BEATWAVES, the festival has already acquired the support of several organisations.

Aim Ghana Foundation is a nonprofit organisation that prioritises women’s and children’s rights, youth development, and peace building.

Over the years, the foundation has partnered with domestic and international organisations to carry out humanitarian projects in the areas of education, fostering world peace, mask distribution (during COVID-19), and the yearly save the street children campaign.
