The Mankralo of the Tema Traditional Council, Nii Adjetey Agbo, has attributed the peace and security in the Tema enclave to the effective leadership of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare and the Police Management Board (POMAB).
According to the traditional leaders, the new regional commander deployed to the area by the IGP has been effective in dealing with security matters in the Tema area.
Speaking at a ceremony at Tema when the IGP paid a courtesy call on the traditional council yesterday, Nii Adjetey Agbo said the people are grateful for the leadership of the IGP.
“Your humility and respect for both the old and young in society is commendable. We appreciate your leadership. The Commander you brought here has been very good and efficient in dealing with crimes in our communities.
“Because of you, Tema is safe and we are grateful for your leadership,” the Mankralo said.
On his part, the IGP thanked the traditional leaders for their support and collaboration with the police in the fight against crime in the country.
He noted that the police are servants of the people and must work to the satisfaction of the people.
