12 To Be Honoured @ Made-In-Ghana UK Show

The organisers of the Made-In-Ghana UK Show have revealed that 12 personalities and institutions will be honoured at the event for their contributions in promoting made-in-Ghana products.

Being organised by Made In Ghana UK Foundation, Laboro GH and Musicbiz Ghana in partnership with Ghana High Commission, London and Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture (MoTAC), the event seeks to create a platform for the promotion of Ghanaian culture, Ghanaian products and services in the United Kingdom (UK).

According to Foster Oduro, a director of Made In Ghana UK Show, some of the personalities to be honoured at the event include Mr. Akwasi Agyemang (CEO, Ghana Tourism Authority), Freddie Annang (CEO of Base Empire), Nana Obokese Ampah (Pan African Village project leader), Samuel Afari Dartey (CEO of Aqua Safari Resort), Okyeame Kwame, among others.

He indicated that the show ? which would be held in London on March 21, 2020 at the Discovery Centre, Barking IG11 0AD, UK ? would be used to promote the ‘See Ghana, Eat Ghana, Wear Ghana, Feel Ghana’ campaign.

Mercy Gyarkari of Musicbiz Ghana and the local representative for the event disclosed that a number of Ghanaian performing artistes, including Joey B, Kelvyn Boy, OV, Amamere Cultural Troupe and a host of others would be performing at this year’s event.

“As this coincides with the 63rd Independence Day celebration of the Republic of Ghana, we will be celebrating the rich Ghanaian culture through product and food exhibition, fashion, musical concert and food,” Ms. Gyarkari said.

She stated that the show is expected to attract over 2,000 Ghanaians and Africans in the UK, adding that it would be graced by the Minister for Tourism, Arts & Culture, Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, and H.E Paapa Owusu-Ankomah, Ghana’s Ambassador to the UK.

Also confirmed to grace the events are Abena Oppong-Asare and Bell Ribeiro-Addy, the first female Ghanaian-British MPs in the UK.

The event is supported by the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Fashion Industry Association of Ghana, Hype Net, RIA Money Transfer, Exim Bank Ghana, Dusk Capital, Aqua Safari, JB Forge, Ghana Music Fund and Showbiz Africa, Style Africa Couture, Amari Heritage and Chef Julze.
