2020 Ashaiman Must Change NDC-Buwumia

VICE PRESIDENT Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has appealed to voters in Ashaiman to change their voting pattern in the forthcoming elections by voting for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to continue to transform the country.

According to him, Ashaiman has nothing to show for several years they have voted for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

However, the Vice President mentioned some development in Ashaiman undertaken by the NPP and some policies introduced by government to relieve the people of hardship including free SHS, adding that the NPP has shown signs of development and transformation although the party has been in government for less than four years.

“You know Ashaiman is a densely populated area and if you win Ashaiman then you are likely to win the general elections so we are asking you and the people to vote for the NPP this year so that we can continue the transformation agenda.

“After listing the things that the Chief had mentioned then I confidently say that the NDC has let the people down. That is why I am asking you to vote for the NPP this time around for more of what happening,” Dr Bawumia stated.
The Vice President made the appeal when he called on the chiefs and traditional rulers at the Ashaiman Divisional Council Thursday.

For his part, Alhaji Labaran Yakubu Barry, the parliamentary candidates of the New Patriotic Party ( NPP) in Ashaiman lambasted the incumbent Member of Parliament for Ashaiman, Henry Ernest Norgbey for missing in action.

According to him, the NDC candidate has gone missing since he was imported from somewhere to represent the NDC in Ashaiman because they have no credible and competent person in Ashaiman.

“We only hear of him in the media with engaging in needless court cases. The people did not vote for you to engage in litigation but to transform the lives of the people and shape development,” Alhaji Barry stated.
