The Electoral Commission (EC) says it has corrected an error detected with its Biometric Voter Registration (BVR) kits at the one day voters registration exercise.
According to the Commission in a statement, during the exercise on Thursday, October 1, 2020, a number of Biometric Voter Registration kits at some registration Centres issued applicants with voter ID numbers that have already been issued.
The Commission however said “this error has been corrected.”
It stated that “the affected applicants will be contacted and issued with new ID cards and unique numbers.”
