The accident is said to have happened at about 3am at Kubease, about 19 kilometres from Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.
An eyewitness said he saw five bodies recovered from the wrecked bus and the truck, whilst some passengers were conveyed to health facilities at Ejisu.
The deceased included drivers of the truck and the Grandbird bus as well as the driver’s mate of the truck, registered GR 2207-W, ASP George Owusu Aboagye, Commander of the Ejisu District Motor Transport and Traffic Department (MTTD) of  the Ghana Police Service, asserted, blaming the accident on human error.
