The Royalhouse Chapel International Compassion Ministry, the charity wing of the church which seeks to bring hope to the less privileged, has donated a 5,000 liter Polytank and musical instruments to the Koforidua Local Prisons and St. Johns Grammar School respectively.

Compassion Ministry presented the Polytank to the Koforidua Prisons in fulfillment of a promise made by the Apostle General Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah a few months ago.

In February, this year, Compassion Ministry, led by the Apostle General Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, visited the Koforidua Prisons on a two-day apostolic mission.

During one of the sessions, the managers of the facility called for an additional Polytank to aid the storage of water at the facility.

The Apostle General therefore promised to provide the Polytank.

Last week, the Director of Administration of the church, Pastor Lawyer Dzifa Gakpledzi visited the facility to present the Polytank to authorities at the prisons.

She said the church believes that the Polytank would improve water supply in the penitentiary.

Assistant Director of Prisons, Benedict Bob-Dery, Officer in-charge of the Koforidua Local Prisons, thanked the church for the gesture, saying “Water is life and on behalf of the staff of the facility, we thank Royalhouse Chapel, especially the leader for honouring the promise he made in February.”

He said the provision of the Polytank would help address the water situation in the prisons, adding that “so if there is the need we will still fall on you for assistance.”

One of the inmates, who expressed his gratitude on behalf of the prisoners, said “thank you for remembering those of us who are in prison and may the good Lord also remember you for what you have done for us.”

At the St. Johns Grammar School, a full set of musical instrument was presented to the school’s administration.

They included a bass combo, keys combo, key board, drum set, four cordless microphones, microphone stand and amplifier.

Ms Dzifa Gakpledzi, who made the presentation to the alma mater of the Rev Sam Korankye Ankrah on behalf of the ministry, said Royalhouse Chapel believes in helping people in society.

She encouraged the students to serve God while in school just as the Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah did.

“Just as God has blessed Apostle General, He would continue to bless you if you serve Him diligently,” she said.

The headmaster of the school was happy the promise by the Apostle General had been fulfilled.

“On behalf of school administration, we express our sincere gratitude to AG and his team of pastors,” he added.
