Tagoe flanked by Anim Addo® and Afriyie
Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe returns to action on November 25 as he crosses swords with Fernando David Saucedo in their IBO Lightweight bout in Accra.
Dubbed, ‘Fist of Destiny’, it is expected to ignite the usual fireworks that characterizes Game Boy’s bouts.
CEO of Baby Jet Promotions, Sammy Anim Addo, sounded positive of Tagoe’s success on the said date taking into account how prepared the boxer has been.
He told newsmen in a press conference on Thursday that “A lot of people say that Saucedo is more experienced than Tagoe but we have seen boxers like Oscar De La Hoya win against more experienced opponents and ‘Game Boy’ can do same.
“We know what it takes to win such bouts and we are making sure Tagoe gets a good understanding of what he must do in the ring.”
Tagoe, who is facing his first world title fight, as usual spoke very confidently about his chances saying “It is high time Ghana won a world title, I will overpower my opponent, I am well conditioned and as I keep saying, don’t wait for somebody to tell you what happened come and experience it yourself, I promise to deliver, and deliver well.”
Director of Operations of Baby Jet Promotions, Randy Opoku Afriyie revealed that the venue for the expected uncompromising clash would be announced soon.
The skillful boxer has an impressive fight record of 27 bouts, 26 wins with 13 by KO and 1 defeat, while Saucedo has 68 fights, 59 wins by KO, 6 losses and 3 draws.
He will be aiming to become Ghana’s first boxing world champion in three years, after Joseph Agbeko lost his title in December 2013.
Baby Jet Promotions is the headline promoters for the fight and would be supported by Mama Vits Investments.
