Kwame Akakpo, 26 years of age and Daniel Larbi, 18, unemployed, are currently in the custody of the Suhum police in the Eastern Region for allegedly selling human parts to a fetish priest.

DAILY GUIDE gathered that the suspects who hail from Obretema in the Suhum municipality, Sunday morning went to the shrine of Nana Ahuntahunu, a local fetish priest, at Densuso, a farming community near Accra-Apedwa junction on the Kumasi Highway to allegedly sell some bones suspected to be human parts to him (fetish priest).

Nana Ahuntahunu, according to sources, detected that there was blood on the white polythene bag in which the bones, which were sold to him at the cost of GH¢1,500,000, were kept.

The fetish priest, who claimed he doesn’t use human parts for rituals, then called the chief, Baffour Adu Amoyaw, and informed him about the development at his shrine.

The chief also reportedly called the Suhum Police Commander, Chief Supt. Yahaya Muchiraru, who dispatched his men to the shrine to get the suspects arrested and pick the bones as exhibit.

Chief Supt. Yahaya Muchiraru, who confirmed the arrest to DAILY GUIDE, added that his outfit had launched an investigation into the matter, and would forward the case to the law court after gathering the needed evidence.
