For the past 10 years, the Young Adults’ Fellowship (YAF) of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Afuaman Preaching Post in the Ga West Mission Field of the Greater Accra Region, has been leaving no stone unturned in moving the church forward.

The Afuaman YAF – a generational group – marked its 10th anniversary recently at the church auditorium with a resolve to ensure that members are more united and committed to serve the Lord and win more souls for Him.

In a brief interview with DAILY GUIDE, President of the generational group, Ernest Osafo Sampong, said the group had gone through thick and thin but with the guidance of the catechist in-charge of the Preaching Post, Philip Nii Boye Lartey and God’s providence, it had braved all odds to become a force to reckon with.

“It’s not been easy. Getting members to show commitment to what they have put themselves into was not an easy task. It called for patience, and here we are celebrating 10 years of the group’s existence,” Mr Sampong underscored.

In a word of exhortation, Mr Philip Boye Lartey, dwelled on the theme, ‘Dry Bones Shall Live’ – in the Book of Ezekiel where God’s word brought back life into dry bones – said for one to know the glory and power in the word of God, one has to be humble and obedient to Him.

“Before God what we perceive to be a hopeless situation is really not,” he observed.

Boye Lartey admonished members of YAF to eschew any divisive tendencies and forge ahead in unity.

“My prayer is that there will be no petty squabbles among you. As a Christian group, make sure that whenever such a situation arises, you will surmount it internally; and pray fervently for God’s guidance and intervention all the time,” he told them in Twi.
