Greater Accra Region’s Desmond Aryee finished first to retain his GNPC Ghana’s Fastest Human 100m title in this year’s final at the Baba Yara Stadium on Saturday.
The winner, a product of the University of Ghana clocked 10.71secs. against second-placed Shadrack Opoku Agyeman (Ashanti Region) 10.81secs and Ansah Sarfo also from the Ashanti Region (10.82secs.) in that order.
It was Hor Halutie, who won the female’s seniors race in 11.88secs. ahead of Faustina Amoah (Ashanti) and Mary Sam (Western) who made 12.80secs.
Samuel K. Asare (Prempeh College) emerged tops with 10.75secs to win the Boys U-18 over Edwin Gadayi Kwablah (TI Amass).
In the Girls U-18, Rafiatu Nuhu of K-Gee in the Ashanti Region dominated with 12.25secs, followed by Mary Boakye(Kumasi Anglican SHS. 12.41secs).
Esther Ocloo (Ghana SHS) won the Girls U-15 with 12.81secs.while Doris Afriyie of TI Amass followed with 12.91secs.
Abdulai Muzakir (St. Joseph JHS) in the Northern Region won the boys U-15 in 11.99secs.
The girls U-10 was won by Charity Dadzie (New Paradise in 14.10secs), with Alhassan Abdulai (Savelugu M/A) winning the boys U-10 in 13.39secs.
