Ghana-based Moroccan beautician, Jijiglam, has said there is a limited number of natural beauty ladies in Ghana.

According to her, majority of the ladies are fake. They underwent various forms of plastic surgeries to enhance their beauty, which naturally does not make them beautiful.

She described that as “sad” and urged young women to stay true to who are they are, though they deserve to be trendy.

“Ghanaian girls are naturally beautiful and this is something I don’t see any more because most of the ladies go through plastic surgery and it’s sad,” she said in a statement on Wednesday.

Jiji is a Moroccan beauty and fashion icon. She was born Chagraoui Jihane but she prefers to be called Jijiglam.

Having learnt all there is to know about the beauty industry, the beauty consultant says she is ready to help young talents in Ghana.

Trained by Mario Dedivanovic, a personal beautician to Kim Kardashian, Jijiglam believes there are very good beauticians in Ghana and her intention is to open a fashion school in Ghana, where she can impact every skill she has learnt about fashion, beauty and style.

Talking about her fashion career, Jijiglam stated that it wasn’t easy for her, especially switching from being a doctor to a fashion designer.

According to her, the decision was a difficult one but the support of family and their understanding has pushed her to follow her dreams.

“I started my fashion career back in 2006 when I opened a clothing store in Abidjan then a second one in Osu, Accra called Zahra Vet that quickly turned to be the most fashionable store in town but that wasn’t enough for my ambitions.”

“My love for beauty and make-up pushed me to go and study in one of the best make-up schools, Le Conservatoire Du Maquillage in Paris, then got trained at Make up Forever. Back home, I had the privilege to work as a make-up artist and fashion consultant for most popular magazines and fashion shows such as Vlisco Fashion, Canoe Magazine, Expo Fashion Week, among others,” she added.

She revealed that the opportunity to be trained by Mario Dedivanovic helped her a lot because it gave her the opportunity to meet a lot of people.

Because fashion  is everything to her, Jijiglam says she will be sharing the latest trends from all over the world, tips about beauty and style, how to dress, how to shop, how to match clothes on her website and social platforms.
