Serwaa Derkyi paying homage to one of the chiefs during her tour of the area
Stray cattle are causing problems for the people of Donaso in the Ejisu/Juaben Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
The stray cattle have destroyed water bodies that serve as the source of drinking water for the people in the community.
The animals usually invade the homes of residents and cause destruction to their properties without compensation from the owners.
This was made known when the MCE for Ejisu-Juaben, Serwaa Derkyi, paid a courtesy call on the chief of Donaso recently.
She also visited the chiefs in the nearby towns to officially introduce herself to them.
The visit was meant to give the MCE the opportunity to get first-hand information about the challenges facing the people.
The MCE’s visit was also to give her the chance to outline her vision for Donaso and the municipality in general to the people.
The Donaso residents also complained that they don’t have refuse dump.
They also mentioned lack of potable drinking water and school amenities as some of their major challenges.
Serwaa Derkyi stated that it’s unacceptable for stray animals to harass people of the community on a daily basis.
She gave assurance that she would direct the appropriate authorities in the municipality to deal with the problems.
The Ejisu/Juaben MCE said she had also taken notice of infrastructure problems in the community.
Ms Derkyi stated that she would expedite the development of the municipality and called for support.
According to her, President Akufo-Addo would surely fulfill all his campaign promises to improve the lives of Ghanaians.
