KMA Launches Dustbin Project

VIP Transport Ltd officials making the presentation to the Kumasi Mayor, Osei Assibey Antwi

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) will soon launch a dustbin project as part of efforts to manage waste effectively and beautify Kumasi.

The Kumasi Mayor, Osei Assibey Antwi, who made the announcement, said thousands of dustbins would be placed at strategic locations in the city.

“People would be able to dump refuse properly which would go a long way to stop littering in the city,” he added.

Osei Assibey Antwi stated that the project would become reality soon, urging corporate organizations and individuals to support it.

He disclosed this when officials of VIP Transport Limited donated a truck and four tricycles to help the KMA to effectively manage waste in the city.

The timely donation by VIP formed part of activities to mark its 10th Anniversary.

Osei Assibey commended the VIP Transport Ltd for its passion and readiness to support to the assembly to help keep Kumasi clean and green.

According to him, his administration is determined to restore the past glory of the Garden City, so all and sundry should come on board.

Frimpong Adakabre Manso, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of VIP Transport Ltd, said his outfit appreciates the good works of the Kumasi Mayor who wants to make Kumasi clean.

In this regard, Mr. Adakabre Manso expressed optimism that the donation would go a long way to help the KMA to boost the image of the city.
