Uncle T United Riding High

In form Uncle T United FC are gradually inching close to their target of picking a Premiership slot.

So far, they have gone past nine games; recording an impressive seven wins and drawing just two in this year’s Division One campaign.

The Prampram-based side began the campaign on a good footing with a home win-a feat they have struggled to maintain over the seasons. Since then, they have not looked back and have gone to the extent of snatching points on foreign soils; their latest being a 1-0 win over Danbort FC in Nungua on Wednesday.

Last Sunday, they host fifth-placed Kotoku Royals at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, in Prampram on match day nine. They produced a 0-0 score line to maintain their unbeaten run.

And according to the president of the club, Isaac Tetteh (TT Brothers), the team is in good shape to maintain their unbeaten record in their remaining first round games.

He said in an interview “Like I keep saying, we are not underrating any side, we are taking the games at it comes, we have done our part as management, the technical team is on top of issues and the playing body appear ready for the Kotoku battle.

“Goal scoring has been our bane, it’s been a one goal project, but we are still working hard to address the problem. The most important thing is to win, but we are considering improving our scoring ability.”

The former Hearts of Oak Management member added “We are looking at raising a team where both midfielders and attackers can score. We are ready for Kotoku, all we are praying for is that we have good days in the rest of our games.”
