FLASHBACK: Nicholas® making a presentation to one the outstanding players in last year’s edition
Fast growing home appliances outfit, NASCO Electroland Ghana Limited, has yet again rallied support for this year’s Sheikh Sharabutu Ramadan Cup.
An official of NASCO, Nicholas stated that the gesture was part of his outfit’s support for football in the country.
“We at NASCO believe in empowering footballers to reach greater heights, hence this reward system. We do same for coaches and players who excel in the Premiership; aimed at rewarding their good works,” says Nicholas.
Last year, players who distinguished themselves in the annual Ramadan Cup received various kinds of NASCO products.
The 4th Ramadan Cup is scheduled for June 23 at the Kotobabi Wembley Park.
The football fiesta, which is organised in honour of the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharubutu, brings together various Zongo communities to compete in a one-day football gala as part of activities marking the end of the Ramadan every year to promote unity among the youth in the Zongo communities.
Ashaiman won back-to-back titles in 2015 and 2016 respectively and are set to test their strength against the men from Fadama Zongo.
