DKB is among men personalities who distinguished themselves to get nominations at the 2018 edition of Exclusive Man of the Year (EMY) Awards.
Nominations were announced over the weekend and DKB made it to the entertainment man of the year category for maintaining his relevance in the showbiz circles.
He is competing with Stonebwoy, Akwesi Boadi (Akrobeto), Latif Abubakar and Abdul Salam.
“It’s a great honour done me, I feel very proud of how far I have taken comedy in Ghana. I will like to use this opportunity to thank every Ghanaian who has made time to watch us perform, appreciated us and criticized us. It’s a one bundle of direction to our perfection,” he said after nominations were announced.
The 2018 EMYs will take place on August 18. It is an award ceremony that celebrates exceptional and distinguished men in Africa who have excelled in their fields of endeavour.
Some winners of the previous editions of the award include ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor, Sir Sam Jonah and Papa Kwesi Nduom.
Others were Dr Kwabena Duffour, Abedi Pele, Chairman of United Bank of Africa and celebrated philanthropist, Mr Tony Elumelu, among others.
The award involves a voting system and public can vote for their favourite personalities before August 15.
