Nana Gyasi Boateng Aduako
Philip Aduako has been installed as the new chief of Akoase in the Akyem–Kotoku Traditional area of the Eastern Region with the stool name Nana Gyasi Boateng Aduako II.
The private businessman succeeds Nana Kawkye Acheampong II, who passed away about two years ago.
Speaking at a ceremony at Akuase to outdoor him, Nana Aduako II, said the people of the town should forge ahead in unity in order to develop the town.
The new chief appealed to parents to attach great importance to the education of their children instead of allowing them to go wayward.
He also cautioned against forcing children into illegal mining, popularly known as ‘galamsey’ and promised to liaise with government officials to bring development to the town.
He promised to boost the Educational Fund in the area to enable many brilliant and needy students to get access to quality education.
Nana Gyasi Boateng Aduako II was born on 2nd February 1957. He started his education at Akoase Roman Catholic Basic School and later moved to London where he worked with Financial Consult Authority (FCA) as financial advisor.
Nana Gyasi Boateng Aduako II earlier swore allegiance to Obirimpong Kwasi Amoh Kyiritwie I, the chief of Abirim, who doubles as Gyasehene of the Kotoku Traditional Council.
The Gyasehene also urged the people of Akoase to bury their differences and support the newly-installed chief.
