The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Ms Ayorkor Botchwey, has dissociated herself from falsified chat messages attributed to her in relation to the purchase, intent to purchase and possession of any premises in Norway or elsewhere.
‘’The good people of Ghana are advised to discount the circulated ‘screenshots’ as they are creative and crafty renditions of the overactive imaginations of people who have made it their personal mission to malign, smear and cause disaffection for the office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for their own malicious purposes,’’ she stated in a statement.
According to the statement, the minister intends pursuing the source of the slander and ensures that the parties behind its circulation are dealt with to the full extent of the law, and to maintain the sanctity of her reputable office.
She has assured Ghanaians of her prudent management of the country’s diplomatic assets through well established and best practice channels and procedures.
