Praye
Members of the Praye music group are set to embark on a regional pub and club tour across the country in March 2019.
The tour will take the members of the group closer to their loyal fans and music lovers in the regions.
Dubbed ‘Come Back Tour’, it will kick off in Tamale with a launch to announce the tour dates, list of the artistes for the tour and other activities lined up.
It will be climaxed with a major musical concert to be staged in Accra at the National Theatre in July.
The ‘Come Back Tour’ is being organised by the members of the group— Eugene Baah (Choirmaster), Steven Fiawoo (Big J Cartel) and Nana Kwame (Kente) — and their management team to officially announce their reunion after the break-up in 2014.
In a chat with BEATWAVES, Choirmaster disclosed that the tour is expected to attract music lovers from all walks of life.
The award-winning hiplife group, which was formed in 2004, parted ways in 2014 after having made several hit songs like ‘Shordy,’ ‘Angelina,’ ‘Jacket’, among others, on the music scene.
Several attempts were made by industry players and key stakeholders to bring them together, but this could not materialise, as each took on solo projects.
However, the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) succeeded in bringing the members of the group back for a performance after four years of solo projects.
Currently, the members of the have released three hit singles— ‘Disco Light’, ‘Adesua’ and ‘Gban Gbai’ — ahead of their new album to be released later this year.
