Nigeria Leads West Africa’s Covid-19 Chart

Nigeria has overtaken Ghana as the country with the most coronavirus cases in West African sub-region.

That was after it recorded some 338 new confirmed cases to take its total to 5,959 as against Ghana’s 5,735 cases.

Also with respect to deaths, Nigeria continues to lead as its death toll has increased to 182, with Ghana’s fatalities at 29.

But Ghana has the most recoveries (1,754) as compared to Nigeria’s 1,594.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced the new confirmed cases in a tweet mid-night on May 17, 2020.
