Popular artiste manager, Darlyn Kotei, popularly known in the showbiz industry as DJ Amess, is dead.

The deceased, who was the manager of the late hiplife artiste, Castro, died on Thursday, June 4 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness.

BEATWAVES gathered that DJ Amess, until his death, had been unwell for the past year or so. The actual cause of his death is still unknown.

He left behind three children.

DJ Amess was well known in entertainment circles not only as a talented manager but also as a regular pundit on Kasapa Entertainment on Kasapa102.5FM, Onua FM, Top Radio and Adom entertainment hall among others.

DJ Amess’s death happens to be the second to have hit Ghana’s entertainment industry this week after Neat FM’s presenter, Kwadwo Wiafe, was also reported to have died at the Nyaho Medical Centre on Thursday morning.

He worked hard for Castro that the missing musician won lots of awards and became successful in his music career.
