Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Development Authority, Dr. Alhassan Sulemana Anamzooya, has revealed that a total of 2,149 projects are being undertaken by the Authority in the five regions of the north.
The NDA projects include Education 660, Health 94, Roads 122, Electricity 141, Water and Sanitation 979 and Social Economic 189.
Out of the 2,149 projects , the Northern region has been allocated 740 projects.
This was made known when the NDA CEO and the board chairman. Francis Tetteh, paid a courtesy call on the Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Sa-eed at his office in Tamale.
The Regional Minister commended the NDA management and the board for the implementation of the the $1 million per Constituency to fund numerous projects across the region.
“This is an area NDA has really helped government to achieve yet another manifesto promise,” he said.
He assured management and staff of NDA that the NRCC will fully support the good intentions of the Authority.
The NDA CEO later inspected some of the projects being implemented in the region and expressed satisfaction about the progress of work.
He however warned that any contractor who does not meet the duration agreed by both parties will have their contract terminated and handed over to a different contractor.
The chiefs at the various communities where some of the projects are situated applauded NDA and the government for bringing such developmental projects to their communities.
