The Greater Accra Regional representative in the 2020 edition of TV3’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) pageant, Naa Dedei Botchwey, known in the competition as Naa, has been crowned winner of this year’s pageant.
The annual event, which attracted a number of personalities as well as ministers of state, was held last Sunday, September 20 at Studio B, located inside the premises of TV3.
It was a night of beauty, intelligence and music, with six beautiful young ladies competing for the ultimate crown as well as a car and prize money. It was held under strict Covid-19 protocols.
The performances of all contestants on stage right from the onset to the end were exhilarating and educative.
Naa beat Kafui of the Volta Region, Afriyie of the Central Region, Zuzu of the Northern Region, Talata of the Upper East Region and Ahafo Region’s Abena to win the coveted title.
Naa took home a brand new car and GH¢10,000 cash prize. She will also embark on an all-expenses-paid trip to Dubai, a one-year free supply of GTP products and a year’s supply of airtime from AirtelTigo.
Abena, who represented Ahafo Region, took the first runner-up position and walked away with a cash prize of GH¢8,000, a trip to Dubai, among other prizes.
Kafui from the Volta Region took the second runner-up position with GH¢6,000 and a trip to Dubai, among other prizes from sponsors.
Zuzu from Northern Region was the third runner-up with GH¢4,000 and a trip to Dubai, among other prizes.
Talata of the Upper East Region took the fourth runner-up position with a cash prize of GH¢2,000 and a trip to Dubai and Central Region’s Afryie who was the fifth runner-up also won a trip to Dubai and a cash prize of GH¢2,000, among other prizes.
The event witnessed live stage performances from artistes such as Kidi, Praye, Adina and ‘Mentor Reloaded’ winner Optional King.
Music group Praye was a delight to watch at the grand finale of the pageant.
With hit song after hit song, the members of the group proved why they once dominated the Ghana music scene and still have Ghanaians yearn for their music long after their heyday.
They performed songs such as ‘Shordy’, ‘Angelina’, ‘Jacket’, ‘New Dance’, among others, to entertain the audience.
Kidi also thrilled the audience with his various hit songs. It was fireworks as he took the centre stage to perform for hours.
