Ceccy Twum has called on Ghanaians to engage in political activities in a peaceful manner before, during and after this year’s general election.
She also made a passionate plea to Ghanaians to use the December elections to demonstrate the country’s maturing democracy.
The gospel artiste, who was speaking on Joy FM’s morning devotion programme Joy Time In His Presence, advised Ghanaians to be calm and vote for the candidate of their choice in the upcoming elections.
The gospel artiste, who is hopeful Ghanaians will preserve the peaceful atmosphere the country has enjoyed through its democratic journey, urged Ghanaians to think about Ghana first before anything else.
Though there have been a lot of doom prophecies about the upcoming elections, Ceccy Twum has cautioned Ghanaians to be vigilant and avoid persons whose aim is to provoke others since this has the potential of changing the course of the country’s history.
She said peace is paramount to the development of the country; hence, the need for Ghanaians to ensure that the country continues to enjoy the peace it has been enjoying over the years.
“If anybody comes to you to give you with GH¢20 to go and fight or take any ballot box, please think about your life and family,” she advised.
