Selina Boateng
Selina Boateng, one of Ghana’s most sensational gospel musicians, whose music has made impact on the gospel music scene in Ghana and beyond, is back on the gospel music scene with a song titled ‘Nyame Beko Ama Mo’.
Credited with hit songs such as ‘Minku Meho’ and ‘Medofo Pa’, Selina Boateng said her new song was inspired by the kind of hardship she went through during her stay in Amsterdam.
The song is a mid-tempo tune which can be appreciated by all and it is indeed a timeless danceable masterpiece fit for all occasions.
According to her, the song is to encourage every individual going through any form of hardship to be firm, courageous and have faith in the Lord because he is capable of doing everything in his own time.
Currently available on all online streaming platforms, the song was produced by Ghanaian UK-based beat maker and sound engineer, Kwaku Mensah.
The gospel singer said the song was one of the hit songs on her upcoming album to be launched in December, adding that preparations were far advanced to give her latest album a historic launch.
The gospel artiste, who performed alongside celebrated artistes such as SP Kofi Sarpong, Nacee, Ceccy Twum, KODA, Joe Mettle, Eugene Zuta, Ohemaa Mercy, and Rev. Cynthia McCauley among others, was awarded with the 2012 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Gospel Song of the Year.
She also won four (4) awards at the Ghana Gospel Industry Awards (GGIA) second edition organised by Adom FM.
The awards were for the Artiste of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year (‘Minku Meho’) and Popular Video of the Year.
In 2019, ‘Ayeyi’ – meaning Praise, a song she was featured on by TKC, was nominated for the Urban Song of the Year.
