Multiple award-winning dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has won the Best Virtual Entertainer category of the year at the 39th edition of the virtual International Reggae and World Music Awards 2021.
The annual IRAWMA awards is the only one of its kind that honors the best of reggae and world music entertainers globally, since 1982.
Shatta Wale grabbed two nominations, Best African Entertainer and Best Virtual Entertainer. He won the category against other African artists including Agent Sasco, Beenie Man &Bouty Killer- Verzuz, and Capleton.
He gave a spectacular performance on the night along with other artists including Ziggy Marley, Beenie Man, Pa Pa Michigan, Flourgan, Master KG, and Nomcebd and Ynrmo sound.
Other Ghanaian entertainers who won the 39th IRAWMA awards include Kwame Yeboah as the Best instrumentalist of the year category against Dean Fraser Kubix Bongo Herman and Sly &Robbie.
Youngest Ghanaian DJ cum presenter, DJ Switch also won the Best Young Entertainer of the year against DJ Whitney Kailash and Wayne J.
