Meek Mill
American rapper, Meek Mill will be headlining this year’s Afronation music concert in Accra.
The 2022 Afronation is scheduled for December 29 and 30, at Marine Drive, Black Star Square, Accra.
Meek Mill would be performing alongside Stonebwoy, Davido, Black Sherif, Rema, Gyakie, P Square, Asake, Camidoh, and KiDi.
The rest include; Major League DJZ, Uncle Waffles, Kuami Eugene, Ckay, Adekunle Gold, Kamo Mphela and Scorpion Kings.
It has been a dream for Meek Mill to visit Ghana since 2020 and Afronation’s gig seemed to have come at the right time for him.
He had tweeted severally about his quest to visit Ghana but only after some unspecified things had been resolved.
On December 26, 2020, he tweeted saying he wants “to buy a property in Ghana.” He added that he wants “a nice house,” and “I need to feel that experience with my family as another option in life! I don’t wanna dedicate my whole life to the American lifestyle I’ve been living. The odds are too stacked against us it feels like!”
“I’m tryna come to Africa this December also … the first time I got locked up …. The other times didn’t fully get worked out! Who is the biggest promoter handling that? I need to perform dreams and nightmares in Africa! And all my other ish,” he tweeted on September 28, 2022.
“In Africa, I don’t wanna get in politics. I wanna do a few shows and not conflict it’s enough money for everyone. I need to get to Africa,” he said in a different post on Monday, October 3, 2022.
