Mahama Cement Propaganda Falls Flat

John Mahama

Presidential candidate hopeful of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, is trending on social media platforms following his comments he made while addressing some farmers in Kpandai in the Northern Region.

In order to paint a glooming picture of the current economic condition in Ghana, John Mahama sought to give an example of the current price of cement in Ghana but appeared to have been misinformed about the prices.

According to him, “Today things are expensive. If you are a farmer, today, a bag of cement is GH¢800,”

Interestingly, members of the crowd murmured over the actual price contrary to what the 2020 defeated Presidential candidate of the NDC.

Members of the crowd could be heard saying
“GH¢100″, with frustration written on the face of the former president.

A video of this has since been trending on social media with many reacting.

John Mahama is on a campaign tour of the area to interact with farmers and NDC delegates, ahead of the party’s presidential primaries on Saturday, May 13, 2023 but the people appear to know the reality on the ground more than the twice defeated presidential hopeful.

The NDC flagbearer aspirant has meanwhile promised to establish farmer service centers in all districts across Ghana.
