A grand durbar has been organized at Nsuta Bonkrong in the Sekyere Central District of the Ashanti Region in honour of the newly enstooled Nkosuohemaa, Nana Frimpomaa Takoradi Amoh- Yeboah I

The Takoradi-based business woman known in private life as Theresa Amoh-Yeboah, is the wife of Justice Amoh, President of one of Ghana’s leading construction company, JUSTMOH Construction Limited.

The colorful ceremony which was well attended by people from all walks of life including traditional leaders, the clergy, business executives, friends of the Nkosuohemaa and the husband, saw rich display of Ashanti traditions and culture.

She swore the oath of allegiance to the acting President of the Nsutaman Traditional Council, Nananom and the people to signify her acceptance of her new position.

She also promised to abide by the rules and regulations and carry out the responsibilities that go with her position as the Nkosuohemaa, which is to facilitate the development of Nsuta Bonkrong and the entire Sekyere Central District.

The Nkosuohemaa who has a soft spot for the underprivileged in society has established a Foundation known as ‘Mama Thess Foundation’ as a special purpose vehicle for her philanthropic programmes.

One of the priority areas of the Foundation is investment in girl-child education.

A number of young girls in both Takoradi where she plies her business and Nsuta Bonkrong her home town have benefitted greatly from her generosity.

Some of the beneficiaries are in school and the new Nkosuohemaa is taking care of their needs.

Teenage pregnancy is another concern of the Nkosuohemaa so she has devoted her time and resources to educate and keep young girls in school.

As a mother, she extended her love not only to her biological children but also to the underprivileged children with special needs as well as orphans.

She is therefore the honorary Mother of the Twin-City Special School in the Western Region.

Speaking in an interview, Nana Frimpomaa Atakora Amoh-Yeboah I indicated that, being blessed by the Almighty God makes it imperative for her to be a blessing to others.
