Scriptwriter, movie and content producer, Christabel Adomako Kye, has formally declared her intention to run for the National Democratic Party (NDP) flagbearership.
Christabel, who has produced a number of movies, including “Letters To My Mother,” stated that she will pick her nomination form when the party officially opens nominations.
Having appeared in several TV commercials, Christabel ran for office as a parliamentary candidate for the Ablekuma Central Constituency in both the 2016 and 2020 elections on the party ticket.
The film and content creator told BEATWAVESÂ that she intended to use this platform to formally announce her decision to run for the National Democratic Party flagbearership when the party officially opens nominations for that position.
She has always looked up to Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, the former first lady, and has tried to follow in her footsteps ever since she joined the party. Â She also thinks the former first lady has a lot of good intentions for the party and Ghanaians.
In an interview with BEATWAVES, she declared that she would become a transformational leader should she win the NDP presidential nomination.
Nonetheless, she thanked Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, for giving her the chance to serve the party.
She continued, “I would like to formally convey my sincere gratitude to the former First Lady and the NDP members for the opportunity to serve the party.”
Like her role model, Christabel is always gushing about how excited she is to put the former First Lady’s initiatives into action, which include helping young people gain employment skills and promoting farming, agro-industry, and agri-business.
She thus urges everyone to back her effort to become the flagbearer of the NDP and eventually the president of Ghana.
