The Ghana Police Service has escalated efforts to probe the unsettling murder of two individuals in the Eastern Region town of Maame Krobo, near Donkorkrom in the Afram Plains.
Two people believed to be Fulani herdsmen were allegedly beheaded by some unknown assailants with no traces leading to wild speculations in the community.
In response to the incident, the Eastern North Regional Police Command has received support from a Specialised Investigative Team dispatched from the Police Headquarters.
The Specialised Investigative Team comprises crime scene experts, homicide investigators, and undercover officers and has been tasked with assisting the regional police command in unraveling the circumstances surrounding the tragic deaths.
A statement released by the police on Thursday revealed their heightened commitment to resolving the case promptly.
The law enforcement agency assured the public of continuous engagement with the victims’ family and emphasized collaboration with community leaders in pursuit of a swift and fair resolution.
“We would like to urge the community to remain calm and continue to support the Police as we work towards the maintenance of peace, security, law, and order,” the police statement echoed.
