Amb. Quarcoo Mourns Late African Boxing Federation Member

The late Brig Gen (Dr) Joseph Oladunmoye Ayeni

 

The consulate general of Ghana to Haiti, Ambassador Ray Quarcoo, former president of Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF), has expressed deep grief for the loss of Brigadier General Dr. Joseph Oladunmoye Ayeni, former member of the African Boxing Federation, who passed on to eternity recently.

A release from the office of the Consular General said, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved father, husband, brother, grandfather, and friend, Brig Gen (Dr) Joseph Oladunmoye Ayeni. He peacefully departed in his sleep on June 13, 2024.  Your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time are deeply appreciated.”

The release added, “I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Brig Gen (Dr) Joseph Oladunmoye Ayeni. Please accept my deepest sympathy. ‘Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories’.

He was an extraordinary man who touched many lives with his kindness and dedication.

“I pray that God will grant you the strength you need to get through this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and I am praying for you to find peace and healing through our Lord’s infinite love. May you find comfort in the cherished memories and the love that surrounds you.”

Meanwhile, burial takes place on August 15, at MCCG, My Father’s House, Magodo GRA Phase 2, Lagos, and would be laid to rest at NA Cant Cemetery, Ojo, Lagos.

It will be followed by a reception.
