A devastating incident occurred in Boamang, a community in the Afigya Kwabre North District of the Ashanti Region, where a 50-year-old tailor, Kofi Bour, took his own life by hanging himself with an electric iron cable.
The deceased’s aunt, with whom he lived with, expressed shock and grief over the incident.
She revealed that Kofi Bour had returned home on Saturday evening, August 24, 2024, and had gone to his room to sleep.
It wasn’t until the next morning, when some children came to collect funeral clothes he had sewn, that his lifeless body was discovered.
The Afigya Kwabre North Police Command has been notified and has taken the body to the St. Patrick Hospital Mortuary at Offinso for further investigation.
The cause of Kofi Bour’s death is still unknown, but his family and community are left to grapple with the aftermath of this tragic event.
Kofi Bour was a married man with two children, and his passing has sent shockwaves through the community.
