Nicknamed as ‘Napo’ in the political circles, Dr. Prempeh will be speaking on the topic ‘Implementing a National Policy for Educational Access and Equity’ to his audience, which definitely includes Ghanaian students.

Dr. Prempeh is widely popular, especially in the education sector, having led the successful implementation of the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy as education minister, which has increased enrolment in senior high schools.

Napo is being accompanied by Dr. Kingsley Agyemang, the Registrar, Scholarship Secretariat, Hajiya Alima Mahama, Ghana’s Ambassador to the US, Henry Nana Boakye, NPP National Organiser, Henry Kwabena Kokofu, Fiifi Boafo, Richard Gyamfi, Head of International Relations and Partnerships, and Prof. Opoku Amankwa.

A press release signed by Fiifi Boafo, Spokesperson for Napo, said he would use his short visit in the US to engage in other equally important assignments before returning to Ghana on October 20, 2024.

“During his visit, he will also engage with members of the Ghanaian community in Memphis, further strengthening connections between Ghana and its diaspora.

“In addition, he will be hosted by the Mayor of the City of Memphis in a bid to foster cultural and educational exchange.

“Dr. Prempeh will depart from Accra on October 17 and return on October 20 to continue his campaign for the upcoming elections,” Fiifi Boafo stated.
