Bawumia Mobbed In Tafo

It was all like a street carnival or an organised walk when Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia went to the Old Tafo Constituency in Kumasi.

That was when Dr. Bawumia who is the Flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming December general election decided to do intermittent stops to do what has now come to be known and accepted as ‘meet and greet’ from Atimatim in the Afigya Kwabre South Constituency to Tafo Ahenbronum in the Old Tafo Constituency, a distance of about 1.7 kilometers.

At Tafo, the NPP Flagbearer had a stakeholder engagement with the chiefs, imams, pastors and opinion leaders at the Tafohene’s palace.

But the crowd would not leave until after they have heard Dr. Bawumia had spoken and addressed them.

It took the intervention of the security detail to prevent them from entering the chief’s palace.

The whole place came alive again when Dr. Bawumia stepped out of the palace with chants of ‘It Is Possible’ and ‘Number 1’ whilst he responded by waving at the hordes of people.

Member of Parliament (MP) for Old Tafo, Vincent Assifuah said Dr. Bawumia had proven more than enough that he is capable of steering the affairs of the nation and thus asked Ghanaians to give him the mandate to continue from where President Akufo-Addo would leave.

Bawumia touted his credentials of having not less than 33 initiatives even as Vice President which no Vice President has been able to in the history of the country’s politics.

He, therefore, promised to do even more when elected President come December 7 when Ghana goes to the polls.
