Dr. James Condua Orleans-Lindsay, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JL Properties and Head of the Legal Division at the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, has been honoured as the Ultimate EMY Man of the Year.
The ninth annual EMY Africa Awards, which was held at the Grand Arena, is a prestigious ceremony that recognises distinguished men across the continent for their contributions to societal growth and development.
Dr. Orleans-Lindsay is a globally respected TEDx speaker and business mogul, recognised as one of Ghana’s most cherished business leaders.
He previously served as the president of the Ghana Association of Young Entrepreneurs and currently holds the position of Chief Patron for the Cape Coast Youth Development Association.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Orleans-Lindsay expressed his gratitude to the awarding academy for shining a light on his contributions to making Ghana a better place.
Other notable award winners from the night included, Edward Boateng, Media Excellence Award; Stonebwoy, Man of the Year (Music); Brommon, Brand of the Year, and Oumaima El Idrisi, Youth Change Maker Award.
Others include Mr. Carruthers Tetteh – Man of Courage Award; Ekow Boye-Doe, Man of Sport; Valerie Larbi, Woman of the Year; Timini Egbuson, Actor of the Year, and Sodamola Oluseye Desmond Spinall, Creative and Support Arts Winner; Elinam Horgli, Young Achiever Female Award, Kwaku Bediako (Chocolate Clothes Global), Designer of the Year, and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah – Man of Style.
Additional awards included Kwaku Bediako, Magnate Award; Stephen Appiah, Continental Sport Icon Award; Alex Bram, Man of The Year, Technology Award; Stevie Wonder, Diasporan Award; Dr. John Kani Ois Obe – Lifetime Achievement Award; Buzstop Boys – Discovery of the Year.
Others were Paa Kwesi Asare – PAV Ansah Communicator Award; Vusi Thembekwayo – Guardian Award; Accra City Hotel, Green Corporate Award; Emmanuel Teye Kwabena Kenney – Man of the Year, Health.
The event brought together an exclusive gathering of influential men and women who have significantly impacted the transformational growth of youth in Africa.
According to Founder of EMY Awards, Kojo Soboh, the awards event will continue to celebrate the remarkable achievements of individuals dedicated to transforming lives across the continent.
