The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate (PC) for Effia in the Western Region, Isaac Boamah-Nyarko says he is confident that the party will win massively in the upcoming general election, both in the constituency and national level.

He has, therefore, called on supporters of the ruling party in the constituency not to allow themselves to be provoked to engage in any act that has the tendency to mar the elections in the constituency.

“Come what may, NPP will win both the presidential and parliamentary elections in this constituency, so there is no need to create any kind of confusion,” he added.

He, therefore, called for peace before, during and after the elections.

The NPP PC, a legal professional, was addressing journalists in Takoradi at a press soiree he organised for the media ahead of the elections.

He said, “I have always advocated for peaceful elections both in the constituency and the country as a whole.”

“I have a very cordial relationship with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the constituency, and we have shared many platforms together,” he added.

He recognised the media as a significant partner in development and the promotion of peace.

“So it is essential to engage with the media before the elections due to your influence in the country, and I promise this engagement will not be the last,” he said.

Lawyer Boamah elaborated on his vision for the constituency, and stressed the need for communal harmony and cooperation in driving development projects when given the nod.

He mentioned various initiatives already underway, aimed at improving infrastructure, healthcare, sports, creative arts and education in the area.

“Even before I become MP, I have supported students in both Takoradi Technical University and Takoradi Technical Institute in my constituency in diverse ways to pursue their education.

“I have also offered support to Junior High School students and those entering Senior High Schools with some requisite educational items,” he disclosed.

He told the journalists that as part of efforts to ensure his constituents have access to potable water supply, he has constructed a number of boreholes in the constituency.

Lawyer Boamah said about 17-kilometre road has been constructed under the District Road Improvement Project (DRIP).

He expressed his commitment to inclusivity, as well as ensure that the constituents, regardless of their political leanings, would benefit from all the developmental efforts.
