DopeNation ‘Ghanapiano’ Album Ready

DopeNation

GHANAIAN MUSICAL duo of identical twin brothers, DopeNation, known in real life as Michael and Tony Boafo have dropped their much anticipated album titled ‘Ghanapiano’.

Ghanapiano is a genre bending 17 track album that boldly reimagines the fusion of Ghanaian musical roots with the electrifying pulse of Amapiano.

The album, which was self-produced, has songs like  Jakpa, Mommie, Baddest , Interlude, Steeze & Composure, Zormizor (Asa Bone) (South African Remix) featuring Robot Boi & Toss, Gbohe, Shey, Outro, Intro (Doubts), I Pray, Only You, Ye, Some Way, and Fear Woman.

Ghanapiano (The Album) introduces a dynamic and refreshing sound scape that merges Ghana’s cultural rhythms from Highlife to Afrobeat and Hiplife with South Africa’s infectious Amapiano wave.

The result is a rhythmic crossover that is deeply African yet globally palatable. With each track, DopeNation weaves complex drum patterns, melodic log drum grooves, rich vocal textures, and masterful arrangements that keep listeners moving, reflecting, and vibing in equal measure.

DopeNation’s music career took off in 2016 with the release of their first single, Bebia Ye Shi. They gained recognition with hits like Uh Huh in 2017 and Eish in 2018. The duo has produced songs for notable Ghanaian artistes including E.L, Shatta Wale, Joey B, Pappy Kojo, Eazzy, Flowking Stone, Olamide, Tekno, and Fameye.

DopeNation has received several awards including Sound City MVP Group of the Year (2020), Global Music Awards Group of the Year (2021), 3Music Awards Group of the Year (2020), and Western Music Awards Hip Life Artiste of the Year (2021) among others.
