2face and Burna Boy
Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Face, has named Burna Boy as the country’s number one artist at the moment.
In an interview with Urban FM, Enugu, the ‘African Queen’ singer described Burna Boy as the “leader” and “senior” of today’s generation of Nigerian artists.
“On a personal level, Burna Boy is my number one. Although I still have other artists that I admire. But personally, as an artist, Burna Boy is my number one right now. Among all the others I am referring to, he is the senior,” 2Face said.
His remarks have stirred fresh debate among fans, with many asking where this leaves other heavyweights like Wizkid, Davido and Olamide in the battle for Nigeria’s music crown.
2Face, however, noted that more stars are rising fast and could soon reach Burna Boy’s level.
