DRAMA HAS unfolded at Kuntenase, in the Bosomtwe Constituency of the Ashanti Region, where a complainant in a case which is being investigated by the police, has rather been arrested for taking the law into his hands.

Kofi Adusei, 49, with bruises on his body, reportedly, lodged a complaint to the Kuntenase District Police that he had been attacked by one Evans Agyei, 23, while he (Adusei) was returning from farm.

The case happened on October 30, 2025 and police immediately issued a medical form to Adusei, and accompanied him to arrest Agyei to assist in investigation. Agyei, however, eluded arrest as he went into hiding.

Barely 24 hours later, suspect Agyei with deep wounds on his left leg, left arm, and other parts of his body, also made a counter complaint to the Kuntenase police that Adusei had also inflicted machete wounds on him.

“On 30/10/25 at 1930 hours, Kofi Adusei, aged 49 years, living at Kuntanase with bruises on his body reported to Kuntanase Police that on 30/10/25 about 1800 hours, while returning from farm, he was attacked by Evans Agyei, aged 23 years, who bit his chest and back.

“Police medical report form was issued to him to attend hospital for treatment and report. The investigator and the complainant went to look for the suspect, but he went into hiding.

“On 31/10/25 at 0800 hours, Evans Agyei was brought to the station by his relatives with sharp wounds on his left leg, left arm, and other parts of his body.

“It was reported that Kofi Adusei, who alleged he was attacked by Evans Agyei, went and inflicted machete wounds on him when he was asleep on a bench in a JHS classroom at Dedeoko on 31/10/25 at 0300 hours,” a police report said.

The police said a medical report form was issued to Agyei to attend the hospital for treatment and report, adding, “Kofi Adusei has been arrested and detained. Investigation is ongoing, and suspect Kofi Adusei will be arraigned before court earliest.”
