President John Dramani Mahama has reportedly appointed renowned media personality Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, popularly known as KKD, as Ghana’s new Special Envoy to the Caribbean Region.

According to media reports, KKD is expected to play a key role in strengthening Ghana’s diplomatic and cultural ties with Caribbean nations. His appointment comes at a time when Ghana is seeking to deepen cooperation with countries such as Cuba, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and others within the region.

The report highlights that KKD’s new role aligns with Ghana’s broader foreign policy agenda, which includes expanding trade and investment opportunities, promoting Ghanaian culture on the global stage, and collaborating with Caribbean partners on shared development challenges.
